Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
Salva (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a screen protection app for Android. We built Salva with a simple principle: your data is yours, and we don’t want it.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Salva collects (and doesn’t collect), how the app works, and your rights.
1. What we collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data. Salva is designed to operate without gathering any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or account identifiers
- Location data
- Contacts, call logs, or messages
- Photos, videos, or files
- Browsing history or app usage patterns
- Device identifiers used for advertising or tracking
2. On-device processing
All of Salva’s protection features run entirely on your device. The touch-blocking overlay, pocket detection, and unlock mechanisms operate locally without connecting to any server. No screen content is scanned, analyzed, or transmitted.
3. Permissions we request
Salva requests the following Android permissions:
- Display over other apps (overlay): Required to show the touch-blocking overlay on your screen.
- Proximity sensor: Used by Pocket Mode to detect when your phone is in a pocket or bag.
We do not request permissions for camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage.
4. Advertising and tracking
Salva contains no advertisements and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or similar tools. To the best of our knowledge, there are no third-party trackers embedded in the app.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. Salva does not handle, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Google Play’s privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
6. Children’s privacy
Salva does not collect data from any user, including children. The app can be used by parents to protect screens during children’s use, but no information about children’s activity is collected, recorded, or shared.
7. Third-party services
The only third-party service Salva interacts with is the Google Play Billing Library, which manages subscription purchases. No data is shared with any other third party.
8. Data security
Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no user database to protect. Your app preferences (like unlock method and mode settings) are stored locally on your device using Android’s standard shared preferences, protected by your device’s own security mechanisms.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or on our website. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
10. Contact us
